Map Kibera is doing some awesome work mapping the numerous neighborhoods of Kibera, an urban Kenyan slum with an estimated population of about half a million people.

While the organization’s name pretty much explains it all, one of the inspirations behind the Map Kibera project – that an area home to more than a quarter of a million people should be more than just a brown blob on a map – runs parallel to our own core value of respect.
